John , age 32, residing Loup City, Nebraska; born Nebraska Father: John Golus; Mother: Lucy Jasica Anna, age 20. residing Tarnov, Nebraska: born Poland Father: Thomas Tutaj; Mother: Agatha Mordel Witnesses: Peter Galus & Catherine Gawer ================== The Nebraska Register, published in Grand Island, Nebraska Friday, 13 September 1957, page 2 Loup City - (St. Josaphat's Parish) - Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 9, for Mrs. John Golus, 57, who died at her home Friday, Sept. 6. Father Henry Bednarczyk officiated and offered the Requiem Mass in St. Josephat's Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Born in Poland Mrs. Golus was born in Poland, and came to Tarnov (Nebraska) at the age of 14. In 1918 she was married to John Golus of Loup City, and the couple farmed near the city until 1921, at which time they moved into Loup City. Mrs. Golus had been in ill health the past six years. Survivors, besides her husband, are one son, Ernest of Loup City; one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Walters, Grand Island; seven grandchildren; one step-son, Joe Golus of Loup City; two step-daughters, Mrs. Sally Rymer, Modesto, Calif., and Mrs. Ann Moore, Twain Hart, Calif.; and seven step-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, whom she had not seen since coming from Poland, where they still reside. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
