Bio
Vivian Eva Vorderstrasse, 94, of Sodaville died Friday, July 5, at her home. Vivian was born in Great Falls, Mont., the daughter of Leo and Flora (Weingart) Bodtke. She was raised in Nebraska and moved to Oregon when she was 19 years old. She married Eric W. Vorderstrasse on April 20, 1938, in Albany. Vivian had resided the past 67 years in Sodaville. Eric preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2000. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she enjoyed helping and was involved with the Ladies Aide. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting and doing embroidery. She is survived by her children, Ronald Vorderstrasse and Dyann Kliewer, both of Lebanon, Darrell Vorderstrasse of Seattle, and Terry, Steven and Jon Vorderstrasse, all of Portland; sister Norma Peterson of Portland; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Deloris and Susan Vorderstrasse. Source: Albany Democrat Herald Jul 31, 2013
