Son of Marvin Willis and Beulah (Hedrick) Ewing, Vernon Edson Ewing was born in Gering, NE on Oct. 9, 1926. He married Barbara Joan Cooper on Dec. 31, 1946 in Bridgeport, NE. Barbara, the daughter of Max Frank and Marjorie Gail (Maier) Cooper, was born Oct. 31, 1926 in Champaign, IL. Vernon served with the US Navy and later ran a rental company in Scottsbluff, NE serving all of western Nebraska.
