Bio

Gouger, Hazel Martin Services for Hazel Martin Gouger, 91, Tyler, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Broadway Church of Christ with Tye Power officiating. Burial will follow at the Neches Cemetery in Anderson County at 2 p.m. under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler. Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday 4 to 5 p.m. Mrs. Gouger died Oct. 16, 2008, in Tyler. She was born March 11, 1917, in Neches to the late Jim and Gertrude Minton. She has lived in Tyler for the past 10 years and was formerly of Palestine and Neches. She was a homemaker and a member of the Broadway Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Martin and Reid Gouger; son, Danny Martin in 2005; 10 brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Granberry and husband Myron of Tyler; son, Bobby Martin and wife Edwina of Palestine; sister, Lucille Clancy of Mexia; grandchildren, Danny Lee Bobbitt of Palestine, Clint Granberry of Dallas, and Teresa Martin of Luling; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tim Ross, Marvin Hollingsworth, Fred Wilkinson, Gale McMullen, Lee Atkinson and Ric Steele.
