Bonnie Lucille Clancy went to be with her Lord Jesus on November 16, 2014 at the age of 89. Services will be held on Monday, November 24th. Viewing and burial will be at 10:00 am at Faulkenberry Cemetery with Reverend Harley B. Gordon officiating. Then a memorial service will be held at 11:00am in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel Lucille was born June 16, 1925 in Neches, Texas to Jim and Gertrude Minton. Lucille married Weldon Powell Clancy on April 11, 1942. They lived in Houston and West Texas until settling between Groesbeck and Mexia in 1973. She worked and retired from Mexia State School where she poured her love into the children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Groesbeck where she had the ministry of taking tapes and CD’s of the sermons to the local nursing home. Lucille was an avid gardener who enjoyed sharing her vegetables with friends and relatives. She was a devoted Mother who took pleasure in her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Powell Clancy, her parents Jim and Gertrude Minton, ten brothers and three sisters; Estelle Eisenminger, Inez Houser, Hazel Martin Gouger, Dewitt Minton, James Minton, Harold Minton, Paul Minton, Clyde Minton, Hayden Minton, William Minton, Wade Minton, J. D. Minton, and an infant brother who died at birth. She was the sole survivor of the L.B. Clancy, Sr. and Janie Clancy immediate family and outlived the 14 Clancy children and their spouses.
