Bio
Died, at residence of his mother, Mrs. Bertha Vanselow, 1030 North First street, at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 1910, of a complication of diseases, Paul Arthur Vanselow, aged 23 years, 6 months and 20 days. Mr. Vanselow was born in Riverton Sept. 23, 1886. He came to Springfield with his parents eighteen years ago. He has been employed for the past two years by the John Engel & Son's Grocery company as solicitor. Mr. Vanselow is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bertha Vanselow, three sisters, Mrs. Rev. Henry Hillmer of Wellston, Okla., and Misses Clara and Frances Vanselow residing at home, and four brothers, William, Otto, Albert, and Arthur Vanselow, all residing at home. The deceased was a very popular young man whose enterprise endeared him into the hearts of his employers, and whose sincerity and honor made him a favorite with those with whom he associated. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon. During the time of the funeral the store of the John P. Engel & Son's Grocery company will be closed. IL State Register, Springfield, IL 4-14-1910
