Children of Eliza & Charles; George Ernest Jester (1869-1935) Charles Lee Jester (1871-1942) (Dr.) Homer Bates Jester (Sr.)(1876-1943) Walter Beaton Jester (1877-1878) Ida Jester (1879-1961) Hugh Cain Jester (1881-1935) Mabel Jester (1883-1885) Lila Jester (1885-1958) Jean Jester (1897-1962) ----- Services for Mrs. C.W. Jester were held at the First Methodist Church. She died at her home on South Fifteenth Street in Corsicana. She was one of the four living children of Captain Rakestraw of Grape Creek, one of the pioneer families of Navarro County. She was a graduate of the Fairfield Seminary. She was a member of long standing in the First Methodist Church of Corsicana. She became a member of the Methodist Church in 1882. She was president of the Woman's Home Mission Society for 12 years, during which time she never missed a meeting. Her husband preceded her in death. Survived by six children - George E. Jester, Judge C.L. Jester, Dr. H.B. Jester, Hugh C. Jester, Mrs. J.L. Halbert, Mrs. Lowry Martin; one brother - Albert Rakestraw; and an orphan nephew, Wensel Fulton, whom she raised and is now a student at A and M College; three sisters - Mrs. B.L. Davis, Mrs. Lem A.
