Bio

Edward F. Pecena July 30, 1916 - Aug. 13, 2006 CALDWELL - Services for Edward F. Pecena, 90, of Caldwell and formerly of the Giddings/Dime Box area are set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dime Box Brethren Church. Burial will be at Hranice Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present form 5 to 7 p.m., at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mr. Pecena died Sunday at Burleson St. Joseph Manor. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a bridge builder and served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant during World War II. Survivors include two sisters, Milady Valigura of Caldwell and Albina Wallace of Canton; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. -- The Eagle - April 15, 2006
