Family records indicate Dr. William was the son of James Reid Sr. and Ms. Gibson. He arrived in the USA, from Londonerry, Ireland, September, 1819, and applied for naturalization 7/18/1828. No DOB or DOD are listed; however, records show he is buried in the Reid / White Cemetery in Manchester, KY. No grave marker for Dr. William Reid has been found. He is listed as brother to James Reid Jr. 1860 US Federal Census entry# 151, shows Dr. William Reid listed (age 58) living in the same household with Lydia (age 54) and Stephen (age 28).
