Daughter of Louie "Everett" Grimm and Neva Irene Briner. Obit from Osceola Sentinel: Alma Rowena Selsor, daughter of Everett Louis Grimm and Neva Irene (Briner) Grimm was born February 24, 1925 in Decatur County, Iowa and passed from this life Monday, October 26, 2020 at Southern Hills Specialty Care at 95 years of age. Alma received her education in the country schools of Union County and attended Murray High School. She was united in marriage to Burton Clifford Selsor on October 1, 1947 in Bentonville, AR and they were the parents of three children, Corvis, Dwight and Stanley. Following their marriage, Alma and Burton lived in Decatur County and moved to California for 9 years before returning to Iowa in 1961. Alma was a member of local Neighborhood Clubs and was a den mother when kids were younger. She enjoyed decorating wedding cakes, ceramics, sewing, crocheting and even made each grandchild an afghan when they graduated from high school. She was also known among her family to be a wonderful cook, even thou she never used a measuring utensil, it was a pinch of this and a pinch of that. She loved having large family gatherings and keeping a list of who attended the celebration. Alma remained active through the years and always enjoyed going to dances with Burton and even continued to ride her 4 wheeler up to year ago. Those relatives who preceded Alma in death were her parents, Everett and Neva Grimm; husband, Burton; son, Dwight Selsor; daughter-in-law, Paula Cooper; sister, Erma Duree; sisters-in-law, Mabel Swaim, Minnie Siefkas, Bessie Siefkas,Viola Davis, Pauline Baker, Opal Arlene Kirkwood and Clara Mae Grimm; brothers-in-law, Leo "Wimpy" Duree, Paul Selsor, Edward Selsor, Elmer Selsor and special friend, Malcom Dykes. Alma leaves to cherish her memory; sons, Corvis Cooper of Orient, IA, Stanley (Carolyn) Selsor of Van Wert, IA; daughter-in-law, Barb VerSteegt of Osceola, IA; grandchildren, Selena (Eric) Humphrey of Osceola, IA, Chad Cooper of West Des Moines, IA, Wyatt (Jennifer) Selsor of New Virginia, IA, Heather Selsor of Newton, IA, Eric (Hilary) Selsor of Osceola, Ia, Shane (Paula) Selsor of Osceola, IA, 20 great-grandchildren; 9 great great-grandchildren; brother, Lowell Grimm of Cillicothe, MO; as well as many other relatives and many friends.
