Garry Wayne Weise, born in Taylor, Williamson Co., TX - Son of Emzy Emory Weise and Lillian Annie Remmert. Brother of Patricia Ann Weise. Garry married, 12 Mar 1983 in Milam Co., TX, Faye Geraldine Scheer, a daughter of Walter Gus Scheer and Elvera Gladys Wagner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~O~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Rockdale Reporter October 2, 2008 Weise Services for Garry Weise, 54, of Rockdale will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Rev. James K. Mann of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Weise died Sunday, Sept. 28, in Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. A Rockdale resident for the past 27 years, he was born July 6, 1954, to Emzy and Lillian (Remmert) Weise. He married Faye Scheer on March 12, 1983, in Cameron. Mr. Weise was an equipment operator for Alcoa's Rockdale Operations, retiring after 34 years of service. He was a graduate of Thorndale High School and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale. Mr. Weise enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Weise, and a son, Aron Wayne Gerlock. Survivors are his wife, Faye Weise of Rockdale; three sons, Donald Ray Gerlock and wife Judy of Missouri, Eric Dean Gerlock and wife Dana of Rockdale, Larry Gene Gerlock of Rockdale; three daughters, Sherri Faye Minor of Rockdale, Janet Lynn Becker of Georgetown, Karen "Cissi" Annette Walker and husband David of Taylor; his father, Emzy Weise of Thorndale; a sister, Patricia Stifflemire of Thorndale; and his mother-in-law, Elvera Scheer of Austin; also, 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Behrend, John Labaj, Bud Orvis, David Loeve, David Scheer and Allan Scheer. Honorary pallbearer is Harold Scheer.
