Bio

Funeral services for Alfred White, 60, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Glen Eckels and Rev. Billy Shoffner officiated. Burial was in the Restland Cemetery. White, a native of Van Zandt County and a retired barber, died in a Houston hospital Monday. Survivors include his wife of Carthage; a son, Joe W. White of Greece; three brothers, Gus White of Fort Worth, Chester White of Carthage, and J. D. White of New Orleans; and two grandchildren. Published in The Panola Watchman, April 2, 1970
