Sharon was born in Bryan, Texas the daughter of Robert C. and Joy Beatrice (Cole) Jaska. She passed away in Sherman, Texas. As a child, she attended Bryan public schools through the sixth grade and was a Special Olympian. She attended Tom Bean schools from seventh grade through 12th, graduating in 1986. She loved the Tomcats, and was awarded her proudest achievement as Best Dancer in her senior class. Sharon was a special person who loved her family and friends. She enjoyed playing dominoes, swimming and celebrating birthdays. She was also a musician who enjoyed playing the guitar and keyboard and singing. She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, niece, sister and aunt. Sharon was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Columbian Ladies Association when she could attend. Sharon was preceded in death by her father and grandparents. Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memories, Sharon is survived by her mother of Sherman; brothers, Robert Jaska Jr. and wife Kelley of Van Alstyne, Texas and Joe Jaska and wife Amy of Sherman; nephews, Robert "Trey" Jaska, Jay Jaska and Jordan Jaska, all of Sherman, and Russell and Reid Jaska of Van Alstyne; nieces, Jenna Jaska and Jessica Jaska of Sherman; aunts and uncles, John and Sandy Cole of Sherman, Louis Jaska of Ross, Texas and Stacie Janek of West, Texas; and many cousins. St. Mary's Parish Deacon John LeBlanc recited the rosary in the chapel of Dannel Funeral Home . A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St Mary's, the Reverend Jeremy Myers, pastor of the parish, officiated, with Deacon Albert Miller assisting. Pallbearers were members of the Knights of Columbus Council 1289.
