OBITUARY: Mrs. Lettie F. Offill, 82, Carthage, died at 4:14 p.m. Sunday at McCune - Brooks Hospital where she was admitted that morning. Born March 11, 1906 at Rule, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Dyer. She was married Feb. 19, 1933 in Abilene, Texas to Emmett D. Offill. He died May 27, 1969. They resided at Askell, Texas, moving in 1952 to Carthage. They resided on Route 3 until eight years ago when she entered Royce Manor, Sarcoxie. She was a member of Leawood Church of Christ, Joplin. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor McDonald, Route 5; two sons, Ralph Offill of Crestone Colo; and Alvis Offill of Warr Acres Okla; one sister, Mrs. Idonia Miller of Dallas Texas; a brother, Millard Dyer of Fort Worth Texas; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Graveside rites will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Park Cemetery. The Rev. Orville Lee Smith will officiate. Friends may visit Tuesday until 8 p.m. at the Knell Mortuary.
