Bio

Graveside services for Mary C. Moore, 93, of Troup were held Aug. 30 at Bradford Cemetery, Troup, with Bro. Ross Hall officiating. Arrangements were under direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors, Lindale. Mrs. Moore died Aug. 28, 2008 in a Tyler nursing home. She was born Oct. 14, 1914 in Cherokee County to the late Thomas Jefferson and Mary Pearl Humphreys Duvall. She lived in Lindale before moving to Troup in 1992. She was a member of Lindale First United Methodist Church and retired from Central Service Department of East Texas Medical Center Hospital in 1983. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Moore, in 1991. Survivors include daughters, Bobbie Jeff Edwards and Sharra Lynn Barnes, both of Troup, Arlene Hall, Lindale, and Arvalene Brown, Wolfe City; sons, Jerry Overton Martin, Fort Worth, Robert Lowery Martin, Tyler, and Gary Moore, DeSoto; sister, Verda L. Molar, Troup; brother, Roy Duvall, South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
