Zilpha Ann Jemima Vaughn was born in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas. She is the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Willis Vaughn and Nancy Ann Elizabeth Parker. "Willis" died in a wagon accident shortly before her birth. "Elizabeth" died shortly after the birth. "Annie" was raised by her widowed maternal grandmother, Jemima (Curtis) Parker, and Jemimima's spinster dauhter, Polly. Died in Jacksonville, Cherokee County, Texas. Married to Joseph Marion Findley on 2/18/1895 in Madisonville, Madison County, Texas
