FUNERAL HOME Walton's Funerals & Cremations - Ross, Burke & Knobel Sparks 1538 'C' Street Sparks, Nevada Jeannie Imperial Obituary Jeannie Imperial August 8, 1949 November 16, 2013 Jeannie Imperial (born Betty Jean Robison) passed away at her home in Sparks on Saturday, November 16. Jeannie was born August 8, 1949 in Port Arthur, Texas. She was raised in a large family of 2 brothers, Glen and Jimmy, and 4 sisters, Frances, Judy, Patty, and Mary in Manteca CA. She graduated from Manteca Union High School in 1967. She married Ronald Edward Imperial the same year and the couple moved to Reno, NV where they raised two children: Ronnie Jr. born in April 1968 and Ami Elizabeth born in July 1976. Jeannie and Ron Imperial made a home together for over 40 years. Jeannie was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Imperial, Jr. (deceased 2007) and her husband, Ronald Imperial, Sr. (deceased 2011). She is survived by her daughter Ami Ponzo, her grandsons Dallas, Colby, and Sawyer Ponzo, son-in-law John Ponzo, all of Sparks NV; her granddaughter Mya Imperial of Madera, CA, sisters Frances of Washington State, Judy of Elko, NV, Mary of Idaho, and Patty of Madera CA. She also leaves behind many in-laws from the Imperial side of the family, as well as relatives on the Robison side. Jeannie was a caring, but feisty person who loved her family first and foremost. In recent years, her grandsons were an abiding joy to her heart, especially in light of the sad losses she had endured at the passing of her son and husband. She was present at each of their births. Jeannie was an avid reader, liked to crochet, and took pride in keeping her home. In years past, she regularly accompanied her husband and children on hunting, fishing, and camping trips that were enjoyed by all. Jeannie Imperial will be greatly missed by her daughter, grandsons, in-laws and all who knew her. May she be reunited with loved ones who went before and may she rest in peace. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Ross, Burke and Knobel Mortuary Sparks, 1538 C Street, Sparks, NV.
