Ashes sent to her sister Eiko in Japan where they were placed in a simple cotton sack and buried in the cemetery.

Bio

Noriko grew up in Japan. She married Gordon Wight Parkhill Sr. in Ft. Worth, Texas on August 24, 1979. They met when he was traveling. Noriko was an excellent photographer. She was a good cook. She loved and spoiled her cat, Emi, and when writing friends and family, would write from Emi's perspective. Her letters were delightful. When Noriko passed, a kind friend named Kazumi kindly translated messages between Gordon's granddaughter and Noriko's sister, Eiko, who still lived in Japan. Noriko's ashes were eventually sent to Eiko where she planned to bury them in a cemetery in a simple cotton sack, as was their tradition.
