Son of William & Elvira (Johnson) Blansett. Married in Howard Co MO 26 Jan 1874 Sarah M Reed, daughter of Richard. They had 8 children: Cora May, William, Oscar, Mildred, George Albert, Etta P, Henry and Ruth E. He was a farmer and a coal miner. He had moved to Randolph Co by 1880 and lived there until his death.
