The Berkshire Eagle (Pittsfield, Massachusetts) - Tue. May 17, 1988 - Page 1 Dorothy E. Starrett LENOX-- Mrs. Dorothy E. Starrett, 64, of the Curtis Apartments died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center after suffering a stroke. Born in Lee on Aug. 7, 1923, the daughter of Martin and Hattie Crawford Carty, she attended Lee schools and lived most of her life in Lee. She moved to Lenox in 1983. She and her husband, Carl Starrett, would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on Aug. 1. Beside her husband, she leaves two sons, Terry L. Starrett of Becket and David C. Starrett of Pittsfield; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Griffin of Lee; a brother, Raymond Carty of Lee; A brother, Raymond Carty of New Port Richey, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Lorette of Lee, Mrs. Gladys Abderhalden of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Ellen Miller of Lenox, and two grandchildren. The funeral will be tomorrow at 10 at Kelly funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
