Rudolph "Rudy" J. Grossman Jr., born on August 18, 1932, in Granger (Williamson County), Texas, passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 93. Rudy was a resident of Temple, Texas. A visitation will take place at St Luke Catholic Church, located at 2807 Oakdale Dr, Temple, TX 76502, on December 12, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am. A Rosary will follow at the same location, beginning at 10:30 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Luke Catholic Church at 11:00 am. The committal service will be conducted at Santa Monica Catholic Cemetery in Cameron, TX 76520, on December 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Interment will be 2 p.m. at St. Monica Catholic Cemetery in Cameron. Mr. Grossman died Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, in Temple. He was born Aug. 18, 1932, to Rudolph and Julia Kasparek Grossman in Granger. He served in the Army and the Army Reserve from 1953 to 1961. He worked for 27 years at ALCOA. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Estelle Grossman of Temple; a son, Randy Grossman of Temple; a daughter, Debbie Fenter of Temple; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his steady strength, quiet kindness, and the deep love he held for the people and places that shaped his life. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 12, 2025, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple with visitation prior from 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Rosary to begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment service will be at St. Monica Catholic Cemetery, Cameron, TX at 2:00 p.m. Rudy was born on August 18, 1932, to Rudolph and Julia (Kasparek) Grossman in Granger, Texas. He served in United States Army and Reserve from 1953 to 1961. Rudy dedicated 27 years of his career to ALCOA, where he was known for his hard work, reliability, and the pride he took in a job well done. His commitment to his work was matched by his devotion to his faith. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, serving his parish and community with humility and generosity. Outside of his work and service, he found joy in the outdoors. Whether casting a line at his favorite fishing spot, spending time in the woods during hunting season, or working in his garden, he felt most at peace in nature. Those who knew him will forever remember him with a fishing pole in hand, a smile on his face, and a story ready to share. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Estelle; daughter, Debbie Fenter and husband Jack of Temple; son, Randy Grossman of Temple; granddaughter, Tuesdi Dyer and husband Brent; and great-grandsons Ellis and Emmett Dyer of St. Petersburg, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Rudy leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and simple joys—treasures that those who loved him will carry forward. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories shared and the lives he touched.
