Bio
Robert D. "Bob" Stapleton passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 74. He was born in Leakey on Dec. 10, 1932. He was formerly of San Antonio and a resident of Floresville for a short time. He graduated from the University of Texas with a civil engineering degree and was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his sons, John Ray Stapleton of San Antonio and Jeffery David Stapleton and wife Leslie of Floresville; his sister, Gay Nelle Barton and husband Bob of Bulverde; and a grandson, Charles David Stapleton. A family viewing was held on Friday, Nov. 16, in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.
