John Ray Stapleton born June 17, 1959, passed away peace- fully at home in San Antonio on January 16, 2018 at the age of 58. John was born in Austin to Robert David "Bob" and Mary Joan Williams Stapleton. John suffered numerous med- ical issues all his life, but is now free from all suffer-ing. John was a gifted artist, musically talented, playing several musical instruments, his favorite being the guitar. His beloved dog, Missy, was always by his side. John was proceeded in death by his father, Bob; grand-parents, William Ray and Lavonia Wigley Williams, David Zeno Stapleton and Gladys Heath Stapleton Frye. He is survived by his mother, Joan Williams of San Antonio, brother, Jeffery and wife Leslie; and his nephew, Charlie of Floresville. A Memorial Service will be held for John January 23, 2018 at 10:00 am at St John's Lutheran Church (502 E Nueva, San Antonio, Texas 78205).
