parents- Emil & Marie , Sr Emil graduated from Tech High School in Omaha. He served in the Korean War. He was an original Charter Member of his Church, a previous member of the Optimist Club, VFW, PTA, served on the Carter Lake City Council for fourteen years and was Mayor of Carter Lake for four years. He volunteered at Carter Lake Elementary school reading with children. He brought smiles to everyone's faces when he volunteered as Santa. He was a printer by trade until his retirement. Emil was an avid Nebraska Football fan. He enjoyed TJ Football, Dad Jokes, going to breakfast with friends at the Nite Hawks Café and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Bette, Daughter Mary Schomer & Son-in-law Paul as well as eight siblings. Emil is survived by children, Deborah Jones(Jeff), Edward Hausner(Melanie), Becky Kuhl(Bud), Mike Hausner(Tina), John Hausner(Shannon), grandchildren Chris Brown(Tom), Austin Hausner(Amanda), Jennifer Smith(Dan), Amanda Fisher(Mike Ashley): Hannah Hausner, Tony Schomer(Erin), Bret Hausner(Trina) Ronnie Fisher, Jr., Brandon Fisher(Alyssa Hutchens), Jacob Hausner. Great grandchildren, Jayden, Ava & Aric Ashley, Harper & Irelynn Smith and two future great grandchildren that will be born in 2026. Siblings Sally Tuttle and Larry Hausner (Sandy), and a host of other family and friends.
