Edwin J. Kubena, age 93 of San Antonio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Edwin was born on November 12, 1928 in Praha, Texas to Bohumir and Frances Stasny Kubena. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, Bohumir and Frances Kubena; children, Teresa Kubena, Randall Kubena; siblings, Lilly Jiral, Bohumir "B.J." Kubena, Agnes Remmers, Mary Ann Kotzur, Frances Kubena, Joseph Kubena, Louis Kubena and Jerome Kubena. Edwin is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Margaret Kubena; children, Karen (Craig) Bagwell, Edwin John (Darnell) Kubena, Jeffrey (Teri) Kubena, Michael (Carolyn) Kubena, Keith Kubena; grandchildren,Travis Bagwell, Lindsay Juarez, Nicholas Bagwell, Caitlin Bagwell, Jessica Bagwell, Katherine Bagwell, Daniel Bagwell, Rocky Kubena, Mary Kubena, Jeffrey Kubena, Patrick Kubena, Frankie Kubena, Abigail Kubena. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 am, at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth. A Rosary will be recited there, beginning at 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass will be held, beginning at 11:00 am, with Burial to follow at Blessed Sacrament Cemetery.
