Parents are not known. Married 1) to Steve Jones on 11 Nov. 1876 in McNairy County, Tenn. No data has been found on him. They had one child. James Harrison "Jimmy" Jones. Married 2) Apr. 30, 1878 in Freestone County, Texas to Jacob Franklin "Jake" Martin. They had ten children: Lydia Martin; Minnie Martin; William "Bill" Augustus Martin; Dora Jane Martin; Daniel "Dan" Alexander Martin; Bessie Mae Martin; Bonnie Mae Martin; Frank Peyton Martin; Inez Martin; and Birdie Lee Martin. She was buried Oct. 22, 1938. Tombstone was made by her son-in-law Lawson Cothran. Date of death on the tombstone is Oct. 21, 1938. However, her Death Certificate said she died and was buried on Oct. 22, 1938. I'm wondering if it was possible, in 1938, to build a casket, dig a grave, and bury someone all in one day?
