Bio
Mr. Ray Birdwell, 91, of Westport, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Harmony Hills in Huntingdon Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday December 6, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Mr. Birdwell was born September 27, 1934 in Yuma, Tennessee to the late Blaine and Ludie Mae (Carey) Birdwell. He worked for 3M Tape Company. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and restoring vintage tractors. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Mary Ann Birdwell and twelve brothers and sisters. He is survived by, a daughter, Suzy Mercier (Tom) of Huntingdon, a son, William Birdwell (Sherry) of Lexington. He also leaves two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
