Emily Etta Wright, 87, passed away Sunday August 10, 2008 at the Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab Center. She was the daughter of Taylor and Audrey Estella (Shockey) Schooler of Galt, MO. She was born near Mill Grove, MO, Mercer County on April 5, 1921. She was married to Victor Kenneth Wright September 3, 1939 in Trenton, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years on April 18, 1994, a son, John Taylor Wright on May 16, 2007 and a brother, Henry Schooler. She is survived by a sister, Anna Belle Good of Trenton; a son, Kenneth Richard Wright and wife Lynn of Liberty; a daughter, Linda LaSala and husband Frank of Excelsior Springs and a daughter-in-law, Vicki Wright of Excelsior Springs; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Emily was a member of Eastern Star and Woods Memorial Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Polley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials to Woods Memorial Christian Church.
