Cynthia "Cyndi" Roxann Marek, 69, of Alvin, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Born in Zanesville, Ohio, Cyndi had made Alvin her home for the past 25 years. She had a contagious laugh, the kind that made everyone around her laugh too, and the best smile. Cyndi was the mom always behind the camera, capturing moments and memories, the proud PTA mom who showed up for everything, and the one who never missed sending a birthday or holiday card, always signed in her beautiful handwriting. She was strong when she needed to be, gentle when it mattered most. She loved her garden, found joy in the simple things, and adored her beagles, Dixie and Daisy. Cyndi is preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Marek, and her granddaughter, Nova Baker. She is survived by her sons, Justin Baker and wife Bobbie, and Logan Baker; stepson, Joe Baker; stepdaughter, Alyssa Corona; parents, Robert Brown and Margaret Dow; sister, Pam Hughes; brothers, Tom, Dave, Jack, and Buster Brown; grandchildren, Colin and Kyla Baker; along with many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.
