OBITUARY- Mr. W. L. "Will" Morris, age 77, passed away at his home in the Ellard community, on Tuesday, Nov 17, following an illness of several years. Mr. Morris was a retired farmer and was a member of the Baptist Church. He lived in the Ellard community all of his life, and was well known and respected by the people of this county. Mr. Morris was a man of fine character, a worthy citizen and a progressive and intelligent farmer. he was honest and reliable in his dealings and was a man who believed in living right and treating other people right. His long life was an asset to his coummunity and the county. He made the world a better place in which to live, and his death brought sadness to his many relatives and friends throughout the entire county. Funeral services were held from Concord Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. J. S. Dorroh, assisted by Rev. Floyd Brasher, with burial following in the Reason's Cemetery. Cook Funeral Home of Bruce was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Morris is survived by two daughters, Mrs. D. L. Duke, Jr. of Calhoun City and Mrs. Smith Benning of Big Creek; by four sons, Frank Morris and Mallie Morris of Bruce, Doyle Morris and Norman Morris of Ypsilanti, MI; by three brothers, Leland Morris of Bruce, Robert Morris of Gunnison and Lemuel Morris of Water VAlley.
