OBITUARY- Calhoun County Monitor-Herald, Nov. 1935 "Mr. W. B. Morris Succumbs Friday" Prominent Calhoun Farmer is Death Victim-Interment in Reasons Cemetery Mr. W. B. Morris, prominent farmer of the Ellard Community, died last Friday at the age of 80. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. F. McKibben, assisted by Rev. A. D. Jacks, Saturday afternoon, with interment at the Reasons Cemetery. Pryor Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Mr. Morris, who was one of the county's oldest citizens, was a man of fine character and high integrity. He had lived his life in this county and was a useful and appreciated citizen. He never aspired to any high honors but was content to take his place in the community as one of the many- doing each day the things that seemed to be right and just. Therefore, he was always looking after his friends and neighbors and acquired the affections of all who understood him. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Morris, four sons, Leland, W. L., Robert and Albert Morris and two daughters, Mesdames Dollie Thomas and Dodie Thomas, one sister, Mrs. Beck Tidwell of Laurel and two brothers, Nick Morris of Ellard and John Morris of Laurel, who survice. Son of William Higgins Morris and Mary Baird.
