She was a native of Norfolk, Virginia and a resident of Yorktown for 22 years. She was a Real Estate Broker for Cold- well Banker for seven years, and was a member of Next Level Church in Yorktown, Va. She received awards for VPAR in 1994, VPAR Rookie of the Year and various VPAR Outstanding Salesmanship Awards and 2005 VPAR Elected President, 2014 VPAR Manag- er of the Year and was a Tasked Member of VPAR Ethics Committee. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Marks Hodges; mother, Eunice Lucille Hodges; brother, John Hodges; and brother-in-law, Buddy Bryant. She is survived by three sons, Shawn Lassiter, Duane Lassiter, Brian Lassiter; three daughters-in-law, Jennifer Lassiter (Shawn), Kat Lassiter (Duane), Jennifer Lassiter (Brian); sister, Lelia Mae Hodges Bryant; brother, Bucky Hodges; six grandchildren, Duane, Jr., Zackery, Lucas, Landon, Charlie and Lucille; and eleven nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Olive Branch Cemetery in Portsmouth.
