In Memoriam JOE PROFFER April 26, 1948 ~ October 7, 2025 Joe Proffer, 77 of Paris, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at his home. A graveside service has been set for Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Mount Tabor Cemetery with Rev. Wade White officiating. A visitation will be held at the cemetery one hour prior to the service. Joe was born on April 26, 1948 in Paris, Texas to Haden "Jack" and Dorothy Billingsley Proffer. He married Beverly Bailey on May 21, 1971. Joe retired from Campbell Soup Company in 2007 after 41 years of employment. He is survived by his children, Brian and spouse Marleena, Anna and spouse Michele; grandchildren, Tyler, Landree, and Gage; sister, Susan Blouin and husband David; brother, Danny Proffer and wife Linda. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Dorothy Proffer; and his wife of 50 years, Beverly Bailey Proffer. Serving as Pallbearers are Brian Proffer, Gage Proffer, Danny Proffer, Jason Proffer, David Blouin, and Chad Shields. Honorary Pallbearer is Danny Bramlett. Thank you to Visiting Angels and Chambers Home Health, with special thanks to Jennifer, Brooke, Jessica and Jeremy.
