Lanik, 91, of Ceresco, NE, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo, NE. She was born December 8, 1933 in Wahoo, NE to Henry and Gladys (Starmann) Kuhr. Joyce graduated from Wahoo High School and she attended one year of nurses training. On January 4, 1952, Joyce was united in marriage to Godfrey Lanik. She worked many years at St. Elizabeth Medical Center as an LPN until her retirement. Joyce enjoyed collecting antiques with Godfrey and the many trips to the sandhills to acquire their treasures. She spent many hours volunteering at the Matt Talbot Kitchen and with her church community. Joyce was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Davey, NE, where she was a past member of the choir, PCCW and the Altar Society. Most of all, Joyce loved being a grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma. She is survived by her children, Frank (Patricia) Lanik, Dave Lanik, Anne (Randy) Robbins, Gregg (Emily) Lanik, Mitch Lanik, Mary (Bill) Phillips and Ralph (Lisa) Lanik; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Heiser, Kaye Roels and Jeanette Kuhr-Herrera. She was preceded in death by her husband, Godfrey Lanik; grandchildren, Kastl Lanik, Matthew Styskal and Joel Styskal; parents, Henry and Gladys Kuhr; sister, Martha Rohwer; infant brother, Kenneth Kuhr; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Lanik.
