Janice Ann "Granny" Campbell July 9, 1943 – September 18, 2025 Janice Ann "Granny" Campbell was born in Clifton, Texas, to Lora and E.A. "Fat" Burreson. She lived a life centered on family, love, and teaching. For many years, she guided young students as an elementary school teacher, leaving an imprint on countless lives and she received Teacher of the Year in 1990. She was also a member of the Granbury Woman's Club. She enjoyed card games, visits to the farm, and cooking meals that brought everyone together. Above all, she was the heart of her family, raising her grandchildren with devotion and providing a steady source of love, strength, and wisdom. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hugh Campbell; parents, Lora and E.A. "Fat" Burreson; her brothers Gene Burreson and Leon Burreson; her sister-in-law Jeanette Burreson; brother-in-law Major Jim Gilliss, U.S. Army, Ret.; brother-in-law Joe Dowlearn. Janice will be remembered as a family matriarch, a teacher, and a woman who gave of herself endlessly. Her warmth and guidance will live on in all who had the blessing of knowing her.
