Bio

Fred Ernest was born in Stevnesville, Texas on December 16, 1911 to James Frank and Myra Kelsey Kerr. They later moved to Lubbock, Texas and Fred Ernest graduated from Lubbock High School and later from Texas Tech. It was there that he meet his wife Hazel Marie Lee. He was a teacher most of his life. He received his Masters in Education from Arkansas in the 60s. He taught in Texas for a while than moved to Arkansas. Living first in West Fork, then Farmington and then Fayetteville. In 1969 he had a cerebral aneurysm while visiting family in Texas. He survived with some paralysis and lived until February 17, 1978 - dying from cancer. They had one adopted son.
