Lesta Chaney - Services for Lesta Chaney, 96, Dallas, were held at 2 p.m.Tuesday, November 19, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Canton, with Rev. C.D. Walker and Rev. Ron Chesser officiating. Burial was in Haven of Memories Park, Canton, under direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Inc. Canton. Mrs. Chaney died November 17, 2002, in Richardson. She was born January 23, 1906, in Murchison to the late Jessie and Lula McClain. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Zenas Chaney, in 1964. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, William "Bill" and Christine Chaney, Dallas; grandsons, Gary Chaney and Darrell Chaney; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and other relatives. Pallbearers included Gregg Chaney, Joshua Chaney, Jacob Chaney, Joey Chaney, Gary Chaney and Darrell Chaney. Van Zandt News, Sunday, November 24, 2002 - page 5B
