Bio

Gloria Dawn Hanks Galloway, born July 1, 1941 in Provo Utah, the oldest child of her parents, Lincoln Hanks and Duella Opal Stevens. She grew up in a family of brothers, Greg and Larry, from her mom's first marriage and Glenn and Kenny from her mom's second marriage to Kenneth Jakeman. Gloria met Joseph Sherridan Galloway when they were both teenagers, and they were married a couple years later on April 28,1960. Gloria had a love of the arts and was a talented painter with watercolors and oils. She also had a love for music of all kinds with a beautiful singing voice. She enjoyed many years of genealogy work and did her best to pass on her rich family history stories to her posterity. Gloria struggled with poor health for several years and passed away peacefully under the watchful care of her loving husband Joe, on September 11, 2025. She is also survived by her five children, Sherri, Michelle, Mark, Jeremy, and Justin, along with her brother Kenny, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial services for Gloria will be held Monday, September 15 at 12:00pm, LDS chapel at 88 West Harbor Pkwy, Saratoga Springs 84045. A graveside service will be held for family only, at 10:00am, Provo City Cemetery at 610 S State St, Provo, 84606.
