Services for Shirley Ann Stephens, 65, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. Christ Sutton, pastor, and Steve Adcock officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. She died on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Covenant-Lakeside Hospital. She was born on Aug. 22, 1935, in Dawson County. She graduated from Lamesa High School in 1953 and later from Draughan's Business School in Lubbock. She married Joe Stephens in 1954. Over the next 40 years, they moved to several states until retiring in 1995, at which time they returned to Lubbock. She was an active member of the Joyful Sound Choir and a preschool director at churches in North Carolina and California. She also served as a member of the WMU and Bible Study Fellowship. Survivors include her husband; a son, Kevin Stephens of Lubbock; four brothers, Gene Pearson of Andrews, Kenneth Pearson of O'Donnell, Ray Pearson of California and Richard Pearson of San Antonio; and two sisters, Louise Adcock and Joyce Oliver, both of Lamesa.
