JAMES S. RENEAU - James S. Reneau, 71, died Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Darvin Long, at 317 North Morehead street. Born in Jefferson county, Tenn., Mr. Reneau had made his home with his daughter since the death of his wife. Mrs. Mary Rollins Reneau, in 1944. He had been in failing health for 11 years and was seriously ill for six months. He is survived by three sons, Paul, of Sherman, Texas; J. A. of Portsmouth, Va., and Eugene, of North Morehead street; two daughters, Mrs. Long and Mrs. Mack Bradley of the home; two brothers. E, P. and William Reneau, both of Carrolton, Texas; 23 grandchildren and " five grandchildren. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Jefferson county, Tenn. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Love Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. C. E. Brooks, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood cemetery. Carothers Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Moore (1853-1929) was the mother to Mahala "Cricket" Reneau Dickey Gant, Charles Samuel Reneau, and Benjamin Taylor Reneau.
