Herald Coaster, March 15, 1971: Theodore Leo Ganske, Sr., 80, of Boling, Texas, died Wednesday, February 24, 1971, in a Wharton hospital after an illness of 10 days. He was born at Brenham, Texas, the son of Gus and Martha Ganske, and moved to Fort Bend County from Washington County as a young boy. Mr. Ganske was a retired farmer and a member of the Lutheran Church. Survived by wife, Annie A. Ganske of Boling; one son, Theodore L. Ganske Jr., also of Boling; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Poncik of Needville; and five grandchildren. Also by one brother, Eugene of Boling, and one sister, Mrs. Martha Kuhlmann of Fredericksburg. Funeral services were Friday, February 26, 1971, at 2:00 p.m. from the Garmany & Co. Chapel in Needville, with Rev. Harold E. Tesch officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Rosenberg. Pallbearers were Edwin Rose, Arnold Zgabay, Walter Ganske, Gene Ganske, Joe Dean, and Henry Whittdon. Services were under the direction of Garmany & Co. Funeral Directors, Rosenberg.
