Bio
Delavon Joy Herrold, age 94, of Grand Island, passed away on July 27, 2025 at Riverside Lodge. Delavon's wishes were for cremation and no service will be held. Delavon was born on October 15, 1930, in Comstock, NE to Michael and Margaret (Mathauser) John. At the age of 12, her family moved to Grand Island. In 1948, she graduated from Grand Island Senior High. On June 2, 1948, she was united in marriage to Irvin Herrold. The couple lived in Marquette, Loup City, Gothenburg, Woodbine, IA and Broken Bow before moving to Grand Island in 1978. Irvin passed away in February 2001. Those left to cherish her memory include two sons; four daughters; 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
