Elisabeth Sessendrup gt. grosse Deitermann was born on April 12, 1834, and Baptized on April 14, 1834 at Saint Sebastian Kirche, Nienberge, Westphalen, Germany. She is the daughter of Christoph Bernard Sessendrup gt. Deiterman, who was born in Alberding and Anna Maria Gertrud Encking who was born in Nienberge. Elisabeth married Laurenz Molkenbuhr gt. Homeyer on May 7, 1867 at Liebfrauen-Uberwasser Katholisch, Munster Stadt, Westfalen, Prussia. Elisabeth and Laurenze had three children that we know of: Wilhelm Laurenz Molkenbuhr Homeyer born 02 Jun 1868 Gertrud Francisca Elisabeth Molkenbur Homeyer born 27 Apr 1872 Maria Catharina Antonia Molkenbuhr Homeyer born 16 Sep 1873 Elisabeth wrote to her brother, Edward (Johann Everhard) Sessendrup gt. Deiterman, in Texas in 1921, when she was 88 years old. She tells of hard times. She says there were 2 pine ranges close by where they live. One was full of Russian prisoners. The place she is describing could possibly be "Haus Spital". Nienberge is a northwest residential area (district) of Münster. During the First World War, the prisoner of war camp "Haus Spital" was housed here, the largest in northwestern Germany. Elisabeth died on June 28, 1924 in Uppenberg, Münster. This information is from a Prayer Card obtained on December 14, 2024 from the collection of materials of a relative. It is believed that she most likely attended Heilig Kreuz Kirche (Holy Cross Church) in Münster, which served Uppenberg, and she was most likely buried at Zentralfriedhof, Münster, Stadtkreis Münster, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. [According to the baptismal records of Elisabeth, she was born on April 12, 1834 at Nienberge, however the prayer card has date of birth as May 1, 1834.]
