Bio

EDWARD DIEDERMAN, PIONEER RESIDENT, CLAIMED BY DEATH - ************************* Edward Deiderman, aged 86, died at 4 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home, 1706 Seventh street, after a protracted period of failing health. Death was due to infirmities of advancing age. With the passing of Mr. Deiderman the city has lost another of the old pioneers who have seen it grow from an unimportant settlement to its present proportions and his loss has also removed one who was known and respected by scores of friends in northern Texas. He moved to this section in 1874* and took up farming on the north bank of the river, maintaining his place there until the expansion of the city -mp--ed on his land. At one time he owned practically all of what is now known as the Scotland addition. Had he lived until Thursday of this week, Mr. Deiderman would have celebrated his 59th wedding anniversery. Surviving relatives include beside his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Kate Entrop of Westphalia, Texas, Mrs. Minnie Wolfe of Lindsie, Texas, Mrs. Rose Snyder of West, Texas, and three sons, A.C. Deiderman of West, Texas, and Joe and J.C. Deiderman of this city. Funeral services will be held at the Sacred Heart church at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning, Father Vincent officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be John Bindel, Albert Schrader, Louis Echert, Louis ----ing, John Strenadall [Sternadall], Fred Willenborg and John Willenborg, while active bearers will be Joe Hund, Fred Lindekin, Al Kidd, E. Coffey, C. Dorsey and John Webber. WICHITA DAILY TIMES - WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, TUESDAY, JUNE 21, 1921 - Page 4
