Bio

Sarah Meda Haile was a school teacher who did not leave home in Missouri until her mid-later 30's when she moved to Oklahoma and married W. T. "Tom" Willis, a retired attorney and "gentleman farmer" from Kentucky. They married 10 Apr 1902 in Chandler, Lincoln Co, OK. They homesteaded 80 acres west of Chandler Township, and raised four children under rather harsh conditions in the early twentieth century. She was described by her children as selfless to a fault, intelligent and unfailingly kind.
