Full name, Nancy Katherine Parks. Father, Curtis Parks, b. 7 30 1809 NC no further info. Mother Amelia Sharpe, b. 1811. 1st Husb. William S. Cheshier 2nd. Husb. Eldridge D. Cheshier listed as E. D. Cheshier. Born in MO. Death Notice of Nancy C Parks Cheshier 4 April 1913, The Lancaster Herald, P. 10, Col. 5 Died Mrs. E. D. Cheshier died quite suddenly Monday night about 9:30 at her home two miles east of Desoto. Members of her household were startled by Mrs. Cheshier falling from her chair; she lived only a short time. In the death of Mrs. Cheshier, a highly respected pioneer citizen has gone. The funeral was held Wednesday. An obituary notice will be published next week. Obituary of Nancy C Parks Cheshier 18 Apr 1913, The Lancaster Herald, P. 1, Col. 3 Nancy Cheshier Was born in Indiana, August 1, 1841, died April 7, 1913. The days of her life were 31 years, 8 months and 5 days. Her parents came to Dallas County, Texas in April 1848; she was but a small girl at the time. She was raised one-half mile east of DeSoto, where her father, Curtis Parks, laid his head right. She was married to William Cheshier in 1863; he died in June 1864 and she married E. D. Cheshier, Feb. 4, 1869. To this union eight children were born, four boys and four girls. She also raised one daughter by her first husband, Mrs. Ida Morris, and an orphan boy. She leaves four brothers and four sisters to mourn her loss; Mrs. S. L. Heath and Mrs. M. J. Howard of Joshua, Texas, Mrs. R. S. Johnson and Mrs. Laura M. Voorhies; brothers are J. J. Parks, G. M. Parks, T. J. Parks, and C. C. Parks. She had a great many relatives and friends who sympathize with the bereaved family. The funeral was held at the home Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Hays of DeSoto and interment was made in Rawlins cemetery.
