Source: Daily Ardmoreite Services for Allen Murray Daniel, 73, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Donny Custar officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home. Born Oct. 9, 1931 at Healdton to William P. and Florence Ivy Mabery Daniel, he died Sept. 23, 2005 at a local veterans center. He married Dorothy Jean Howard Nov. 14, 1952 at Ardmore. She preceded him in death May 2, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mollie Lagaw, and a brother, Bob Daniel. Daniel was a lifelong resident of the area. He retired from Uniroyal and the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service having earned the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Star and six Good Conduct medals. Daniel loved fishing, gardening and the outdoors but most of all he loved his family. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Dalton and Kay Owens, both Lone Grove; six sisters, Ollie Davidson, Anna Marie Daniel and Opal Sue Moore, all Ardmore, Dollie Stephens, Arlington, Texas, Carrie Morris, Lakewood, Colo. and Ruth Ann Trice, Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, John Daniel and Bill Daniel, both Mannsville; three grandchildren, Cory Parkerson and Greg Dalton, both Lone Grove, and Debbie Lamb, Ardmore; and one great-grandson, Kolby Lamb, Ardmore. Bearers are the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Honorary bearers are Jimmy and Tommy Daniel, Cory Parkerson, Greg Dalton, Kenny Lamb and David Moore.
