She was born in Leighton, Alabama, in 1858, where she lived until a young woman. At the age of 14 years she was baptized and joined the Baptist Church and has been a devout member for the past three quarters of a century. She was baptized at the same time G. W. Morgan was united with the church, and she and Rev. Morgan were later married. To this union five children were born, all of whom are living and are as follows -- E. B. Morgan and Paul Morgan, Weatherford; J. W. Morgan, Fort Worth; Mrs. J. S. Brady and Mrs. J. P. Thomas both of Forth Worth. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Forth Worth on Sunday at the Evans Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, and the body was then brought to the home of her son, Paul Morgan, in Weatherford, where it remained until Monday Afternoon, when funeral services were conducted form the First Baptist Church. In charge of the services were Rev. A. J. Morgan of Breckenridge, Rev. G. A. Simmons, of Fort Worth and Rev. H. J. Starnes of Weatherford. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
