Garden of Love in Memoryland Memorial Park Cemetery. ∼ Nelda Lynn Turner, 89, of Greenville, died Sunday, January 19, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Raymond Turner and Kenny Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Turner was born in Campbell, Texas on August 19, 1924. She was the daughter of Thomas Henry (Sap) Beggs and Otha Wheatley Beggs. She married Jack R. Turner on December 22, 1946. Mrs. Turner was a homemaker. She was a member of Lamar Baptist Church, now Family Fellowship where at Lamar, she worked in the Children's' nursery, played the piano and taught Sunday School. Survivors include her son, Gary Turner and wife, Phyllis of Greenville; daughter, Gala Akins and husband, Robert of Cash; grandchildren, Tiffany Feezel and husband, Scott and Travis Turner and wife, Brittni; five great-grandchildren; and many special close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Turner; parents; brothers, Tom Beggs and Eldred England; sister, Chloe Dell Adams; and grandson, Brad Akins. Pallbearers will be Henry Ellis, John Moore, Scott Feezel, Travis Turner, Harold Robinson and Rick Evans. Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Voss, Harry Bray, Bobby Manley, Cecil Nelson, Melvin Wade and Larry Johnson.
