Beggs, 69, of Greenville, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Peters Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Mr. Beggs died Friday morning in Citizens General Hospital. She (sic) was born June 5, 1918, in Campbell, to Thomas Henry and Otha Wheatley Beggs. He was married April 20, 1948, in Greenville to Nell Hall. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, a retired U.S. Postal Service employee and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, of Greenville; a son, Joe T. Beggs of Mesquite; a daughter, Becky Edwards of Plano; two sisters, Nelda Turner of Greenville and Chloe Delle Adams of West Monroe, La.; and seven grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral Home tonight from 6-8 p.m. Greenville (Texas) Herald Banner, Sun, 31 Jan 1988, page A2, Deaths, Thomas W. Beggs Funeral services for Thomas W. Beggs of Greenville will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. D.D. Sumrall Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Horice Graham, Jimmie Waddle, Kenneth Almon, Joe Sisk, Joe Brown and W.D. Allen. Mr. Beggs was preceded in death by a brother, Elred England.
